In the FlexTools project, the use case was successfully implemented at HEO Coating. An automated transport system was integrated into the existing intralogistics system and tested as part of the modular FlexTools system.

The use case is an example of how the modules developed in the project work together in practice. By using automated transport solutions, it was possible to make intralogistics processes more efficient and identify potential for further process automation.
The interplay between technical integration, simulation-based planning and the digital twin is particularly clear. This means that automated solutions can not only be implemented, but also better evaluated, planned and scaled.
