On July 15, we were pleased to welcome Tolga Turmaz from Fraunhofer IML to our LFO Lab as part of the “Factory Planning and Operations” course.

In his engaging guest lecture, he explored the topic of “matrix production” and demonstrated how companies can use this technology to increase their flexibility and dynamically adjust their resilience corridor.

The students gained fascinating insights into cross-technology control through simulation-based AI. Direct, relevant connections were drawn to classic topics in factory planning, which subsequently sparked a great group discussion.
