Last week at the LFO, we had the pleasure of welcoming Prof. Dr. Lydia Bals from Mainz University of Applied Sciences to an exclusive workshop. Entitled "Publishing Research Successfully", it was all about the strategies and craft of scientific publishing in the field of Supply Chain Management (SCM).

The workshop offered valuable impulses, especially for our doctoral students, and covered the entire manuscript lifecycle. A central focus was on the strategic management of the paper pipeline, from the initial research question to submission to leading journals. Not only theoretical and methodological aspects of SCM were discussed in depth, but also very practical routines for excellent reading and writing ("Reading & Writing Excellence").

In addition, Prof. Bals gave deep insights into the professionalization of academic careers. Topics such as establishing international research collaborations, effective networking at conferences and the use of social media to increase research visibility were also on the agenda, as were the reviewing process and maintaining an academic portfolio.

We would like to thank Prof. Dr. Lydia Bals for the well-founded and motivating exchange. Such formats are essential in order to continuously consolidate the quality of our research at the LFO at an international level and to support the team in its publication projects.
